Employers and others who require confirmation of the authenticity of a degree Diploma or a Transcript of records from UiB, can send an email to: studentrecords@uib.no
Please include the following information in the request:
- the student’s complete name, including any former names, and date of birth
- degree awarded
- the year degree was awarded
- the student's signature to authorise release of the information
- a scanned copy of the document (if available)
Please note: In accordance with general privacy regulations UiB may not release student information beyond that which is described here.
Responses to Verification Requests
Emails sent from our official case management system, UiBhjelp, use <noreply@topdesk.uib.no> as the sender address. We trust that this is an email address you can accept as an official sender. In many cases, the case handler will also copy their individual UiB email address as an additional confirmation of authenticity.
Holiday Periods
Due to reduced staffing during holiday periods, particularly in July and late December, response times may be longer than usual. As a result, it may take additional time before you receive a reply to issues sent to studentrecords@uib.no .
