PraksisNett

PraksisNett is a national research infrastructure that makes it easier to carry out clinical studies and research projects in Norwegian general practice. With nearly 500 general practitioners and more than 500,000 patients in the network, we provide researchers with a strong foundation for research, make it easier for GPs to participate, and give patients the opportunity to contribute to new knowledge.

PraksisNett consists of around 85 GP offices organized into four regions, each with its own leadership and staff who follow up with the clinics and support researchers in the practical work.

The management group of PraksisNett assesses which projects are allowed to use the infrastructure, based on scientific quality, feasibility, ethics, and relevance to general practice.

The research infrastructure is a collaboration between key academic environments in general practice and is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services and the partners - University of Bergen, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS and University of Oslo.
