Momentum Delegate 2026/2027
Hi there! I work at the interface of macroecology, paleoecology, and geospatial analysis, exploring how biodiversity in mountain systems has developed through time and how past climate and landscape dynamics shape present-day ecosystems.
I lead the Mountains-in-Motion research team, where we combine large-scale datasets, modelling approaches, and visualisation tools to reconstruct global patterns of alpine biodiversity. My work is strongly international and collaborative, bringing together researchers across disciplines to better understand how climate change, landscape dynamics, and ecological processes interact across space and time.
Beyond my research, I enjoy contributing to the academic community. I have initiated activities to support early-career researchers at UiB and am particularly interested in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and science communication. Through my work, I aim to bridge Earth system science, climatology, and ecology to better understand—and communicate—how ecosystems respond to environmental change.
